The Role
Expect A Star is partnering with a well-established independent secondary school in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs to recruit a passionate Science Teacher for a full-time fixed-term contract commencing in Term 3, 2026

Working within an energetic and supportive faculty, you will deliver engaging Science lessons while contributing to the pastoral and academic growth of students in the middle years
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned science lessons for Year 7-10
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking and a love of scientific inquiry
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress and achievement
- Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students
- Participate in curriculum planning, professional learning and the wider life of the College
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Current Queensland Teacher Registration or eligibility to obtain registration
- Demonstrated experience teaching Middle Years Science
- Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care
- Understanding of boys' education strategies and contemporary teaching practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic values of the college
- Graduate and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
