Expect A Star is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join an amazing College for the remainder of 2026.
This is a full-time Year 5/6 Classroom Teacher position commencing Semester 2, 2026.
The successful applicant will deliver engaging, differentiated learning programs while contributing to a caring, Christ-centred and values-based learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs for Year 5/6 students
- Planning, assessing and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Building positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Collaborating with teaching teams to support student outcomes
- Supporting the Lutheran ethos and Christian values of the College
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility to obtain
- Experience teaching primary-aged students, particularly Years 5/6
- Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary teaching practices
- Ability to plan engaging and differentiated learning experiences
- Strong classroom management and student wellbeing focus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the Christian ethos and values of the College
