As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports children’s development, wellbeing and educational outcomes.
You will plan, implement and evaluate high-quality educational programs in line with approved learning frameworks while building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality educational programs for the preschool group
- Maintaining curriculum documentation, observations, assessments and child development records
- Supporting children’s individual interests, strengths, development and learning needs
- Working collaboratively with the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader
- Mentoring and supporting Teacher Assistants and other educators
- Contributing to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining compliance with the NQF, NQS, relevant legislation, WHS requirements and child safety and protection regulations
- Participating in professional development, staff meetings and ongoing quality improvement
Role Requirements
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility to obtain registration
- Current Blue Card
- Cultural awareness and a commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities
