The Role:
Ideally, you will have experience planning and preparing nutritional meals for children aged 0-5 years, and knowledge of preparing separate meals for children with food allergies and intolerances. You will have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 0-5
- Shifts range between 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday.
- 5th until 16th October
- Sole charge of the kitchen to prepare, cook and clean for up to 140 children on a day
- Prepare separate meals for children with food allergies and intolerances
- Working at different centres on an emergency basis on call to cover sick days and annual leave
- Demonstrate efficient time management to ensure all meals are prepared on time
Essential criteria for this role
- Completed Certificate III or Diploma in Commercial Cookery, or SITXFSA006 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices
- EXPERIENCE COOKING IN EARLY LEARNING SERVICES / Similar setting
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee);
- Recent police check
- Flexible and a 'can-do' approach towards your role
